We’re keeping an eye on an area around far southeastern South Dakota, northwestern Iowa and southwestern Minnesota. We should see some storms fire up around 4 or 5 p.m. The instability in the atmosphere is part of the reason we’re expecting some tornadic activity and possibly baseball size hail.
Storms are also likely later in the evening firing in south central South Dakota, pushing eastward into the overnight hours.
