I have no children, so I don't have a vested interest in the playoffs and championships, but I remember when KELO first started broadcasting the games way back when. I thought KELO did a marvelous job then, and SDPB has kept the tradition of excellence. In fact, that's the main reason I support SDPB, because of their commitment to high school activities. Thanks, KELO, for blazing the way!

"THE DOME" for the last 15 or so years has been the goal in life for m kids. Playing Jr Football fand then high school football thru their senior years my kids dreamed of getting to the dome to play and hearing their name over the loudspeaker! It was simply the ultimate reward for their hard work at grades and practice and working out . . . . it meant everything in their sweet little lives. They felt like they were on the playing field of a professional football team, and the whole world was listening. This is only the first year since my youngest graduated, and oh how I am cherishing the memories. To all you young parents out there who are tired of all the running to practice, washing the uniforms, trying to find a parking spot at Riverdale Park, hoping against hope it won't blizzard while driving to the dome during football playoffs - slow down and enjoy the ride. Find the time to be there and support your kids or even your neighbors or friends' children. It is something that makes the kids puff up with pride and a memory to be talked about and cherished forever. It will be over before you know it and you will wish you were doing it all over again.
