Yes it is slow and very rarely does it take two hours until you get your food. It may take an hour or hour and a half, but the food is definitely worth the wait. It is an expensive restaurant but our family of five can eat there for 100 dollars. Comparing it to a buffet, I don’t think its too bad of a price. Espeically if you want an excellent steak or some great ribs. I have heard JoDeans is a great place to eat too, although I haven’t ate there in over 10 years.

It was the only place I’ve ever known of where you could get a turkey dinner with all the trimmings any time of year. I probably ate there twice a month for twenty years. They offered such a unique dining experience, I couldn’t believe it when they went out of business.

We ate there Sunday. $66.00 for 5 of us and if you went away hungry, it was your own fault. Very good food but so much it is hard to decide what you want to have. The various buffets go on and on and on and then at the end is the “sweet” buffet plus soft serve ice cream and all of the toppings of your choice. Oh yes and since it was Fathers Day, dads got a 2nd beer free! Don’t miss it next time you are in Yankton. The waitress told us they are extremely busy with all of the “lookie lous” going to the dam. She said they served over 1500 Saturday and figured it would be over 2000 Sunday. Now that many people is a bunch to feed but they did a wonderful job.
