SPLITTAIL: So many of your "facts" are wrong, it is clear that you are reading from the Birther Handbook.

First of all, if EITHER of your parents are American Citizens you are automatically an American citizen. My parents are from Woonsocket and Alcester, but if one of them would have been from China or Chile or ANYWHERE, I would still be an American citizen.

The fact that Obama spent a few years living in Indonesia had nothing to do with his father. His parents split when he was two years old and his father was out of the picture from then on (except for one brief visit to Hawaii when Obama was 10 years old). Obama lived in Indonesia because his mother, Ann Dunham Ph.D, was an anthropologist who worked for the US Government's Agency for International Development.

She then went to work in Jakarta for the Ford Foundation (the philanthropic and humanitarian organization started by Henry Ford, founder of Ford Motor Company). His mother was an early creator of microfinancing, which is the practice of giving small loans to people in third world countries so they can start small businesses and improve their financial situations. Obama attended public school in Indonesia. He NEVER attended a madrassa.

When Obama was 10 years old, he returned to Hawaii and lived with his grandparents. Obama was an excellent basketball player and his high school team (Punahou High School) reached the state finals. If you haven't seen the photo of Obama with his high school teammates at the state finals, you must live under a rock.

I suppose in your tiny little world it seems strange that someone would spend some time living abroad as a youngster. I've known several people who did, including a college friend who grew up in various parts of the globe, traveling with his father, a geologist for an oil company.

Obama's past only seems mysterious to people with room temperature I.Q.s.

Doug and Milt are making a lot of sense. If we applied Virgil and Bob B's standards of "evidence" to our daily lives, no one would believe in Jesus. We'd also never be able to get driver's licenses, as the examiners could keep throwing the documents back in our faces and shouting "Still fake!"

Steve is right about respect. The national news doesn't even show the president the proper respect of refering to him as president Obama. Maybe they need to stop taking short cuts like using Mr. instead of President.

They do have the tool of spell check if they are spelling challenged!

Those of you who don't believe race is an issue should ask yourselves some questions such as: 1. Did anyone ever see any birth certificates of any previous presidents? 2. Can you name anyone who went to school with the Bushes? 3. Do you really believe that Trump actually investigated this issue? 4. Will we ever see the results of his investigation?.....I could go on and on. The point is that people like Trump are asking questions of Obama that I've never heard asked before. Listen to Trump sometime. He starts his innuendos with phrases like, "The word is..." or "I heard..." without a challenge from anyone for documentation. Where is his proof? I don't know if it's race or the fact that he's a democrat, but President Obama is certainly being held to different standards by the "birthers."
