It's Ground Hog Day. I don't know about the one in Pennsylvania, but any ground hogs in Dakota are seeing their shadows -- if the varmints aren't completely frozen. The temperature was so low this morning that the mercury broke through the bottom of the thermometer. I hope it warms up for you a bit by the time you get home. Anyway, safe travels.

BWAAHAAHAA...BWAAHAHA....BWAAHAHA....This happens to you guys every year. It's kind of like a Roadrunner cartoon. You guys are the coyote. You know you're gonna get it. Fortunately, as usual, I know how to fix this. When you finally get home, take that blasphemous USD Coyote hat off the hat rack, or off your head and burn it....burn it good. Think back. Since you bought the darned thing, haven't all the winters been awful? There you have it. Buy a Jackrabbits hat. Even though it doesn't go with the Nebraska Corn Holers theme you come to embrace, you can wear it with pride, knowing that next year you can travel to Arizona in sunshine and bliss....the way nature intended.

YOU WERE LUCKY TO HAVE FOUND A PLACE OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. WE REMEMBER THE AREA WELL BECAUSE WE HAD A TIRE FAILURE ON OUR MOTOR HOME SOMEWHERE NEAR THERE ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO. LUCKILY IT WAS AN OUTSIDE REAR DUAL SO WE LIMPED IN. THERE WERE 2 GAS STATIONS AND ONE DID HAVE A FLOOR JACK TO REMOVE THE OLD TIRE. HAD TO USE MY TOOLS BECAUSE HE DID NOT HAVE A BIG ENOUGH LUG WRENCH. AT LEAST HE DIDN'T CHARGE MUCH AND WE GOT ON THE ROAD AGAIN. STAY SAFE AND WARM.
