Yesterday, HyVee announced its plans to acquire the Sunshine stores in Sioux Falls.  This was a hot topic in the morning meeting, sparking discussion about the future of the empty buildings, what jobs at HyVee will be available for former Sunshine employees and even closing sales.

Around 2 p.m. Monday, a wire story came down about a death investigation in Hamlin County.  We had received tips about an incident in Hamlin County; however, very little information was coming out.  This morning, we know a North Dakota man has been charged in the death of a South Dakota man.  We’ll have details tonight.

In sports news, it seems Brett Favre has informed teammates that he’s not planning to return for a second season.  That’s according to the Associated Press and various media outlets.  A news conference is scheduled for this morning.  We have a crew in Mankato at Vikings Training Camp and will bring you the reports tonight at 5, 6 and 10.
