Preparations apparently paid off for Sioux Falls Police who monitored the situation at the Vault Friday night. The bar hosted an outdoor concert with Papa Roach, which was open to all ages.  Police anticipated a lot of traffic and possible alcohol-related problems.  Shawn Neisteadt showed you the concerns Friday. Today he’s following up on how things went and how many arrests police made.

The City of Sioux Falls has an extra nearly $4 million and will discuss tonight how it could put it to use. Some council members would like it to go toward streets and projects, but some with the City have ideas for the Events Center. KELOLAND News will stream the meeting live on KELOLAND.com at 4:00 p.m. Then, Ben Dunsmoor will bring you the council’s discussion tonight on KELOLAND News.

The 200th Engineer Company out of Chamberlain and Pierre are headed to training this morning before they ship off to Afghanistan.  David Brown met up with them in Mitchell where they stopped by a BBQ Restaurant for a hot meal before leaving South Dakota.

And the next time you’re in Downtown Sioux Falls, take your photo with Captain 11. A bronze representation of KELOLAND TV’s former kids show host Dave Dedrick is now displayed outside our studios as part of the Sioux Falls Sculpture Walk. Then share your photos by posting them at uShare on KELOLAND.com.
